About

Hi, there!

I’m Kaitie, it’s so nice to meet you!

I am a wife, mother, homemaker, homeschool mom, an occupational therapist, and a pediatric sleep consultant. I enjoy building community, going on nature walks, eating spicy ahi tuna rolls, making sourdough, sourcing vintage and second-hand decor, collecting lovely children's books, working on my tennis game, and getting lots of sleep (if you haven’t guessed that one yet).

I was born and raised on the island of O’ahu, Hawai’i. I am now located in Boise, ID after living in China, Omaha, NE, and Vancouver, BC.

My first child struggled for months to sleep consistently through the night, but I had zero clue about sleep training a baby! I was always second-guessing myself about what I should do about this problem, and I was very, very sleep deprived and feeling frustrated with how things were going!

This was supposed to be a thriving baby, and I was supposed to be a happy mom! I didn’t want to resent my new baby for making me stay up all night, but trying to do normal, everyday things during the day was so exhausting. If I’m being totally honest, I couldn’t function properly. My closest relationships, mental clarity, and physical well-being were all taking a toll.

A friend introduced me to The Sleep Sense Program… She very bluntly told me that I looked exhausted and said it didn’t have to be this way. I went home and followed the method step-by-step, and the results were unbelievable. I’ve used this sleep training method with all four of my children, so I know first-hand that it really works because they are all still great sleepers to this day. I don’t regret teaching my children to sleep independently. It gave me the freedom, flexibility, confidence, and joy that I was missing in my parenting!

I graduated with my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OTD) in 2011 at Creighton University. My professional experience is working with children and adults in multiple fields—foster home and orphanage, school, trauma hospital, psychiatric hospital, rehab hospital, and skilled nursing facility.

As you already know, I love sleep. It’s kind of my thing, and it is exciting to figure out the puzzle of what’s going on to improve quality and restful sleep. In 2024, that passion led me to start this small business to help postpartum mothers, new parents, and seasoned parents who wanted to find solutions to their little one’s sleep. My focus is working with babies, toddlers, and preschoolers up to age 4. I trained formally under Dana Obleman who is the creator of The Sleep Sense Program.

This job is a dream because I can stay at home with my children, but also work to help families anywhere around the world!

You should also know that I am just a regular o’l mom with 100 problems (#laundry), but sleep isn’t one of them!

I would love to help you and your family finally get the sleep you need and deserve! Book your free discovery call today!
